Do you take insurance?

WCPT is an out of network provider, which means that we do not directly accept insurance. You can learn your out of network PT benefits by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. We can provide you with an itemized receipt with all the information needed for possible reimbursement.

Why should I use an out of network provider?

The traditional insurance-based model in outpatient therapy usually involves the therapist seeing several patients at one time. You, as the patient, may have to see different therapists throughout your course of treatment, and may find it difficult to get the appointment times you need.
Our approach at WCPT as out of network allows you to have consistent treatment and for us to focus 100% on you during your session. Ultimately leading to fewer visits, better outcomes, and reduced spending on co-pays and unnecessary appointments.

Do I need a doctor referral?

No! As of Sept 1, 2019, Texas approved two weeks (10-15 business days) of direct access for physical therapy treatment without a physician's referral  (if certain qualifications and requirements by the therapist are met). Any treatment session after the initial two weeks does require a physician's referral for further care.
A prescription is required, which can be obtained from a physician, dentist, chiropractor, podiatrists, physician assistant, and/or advanced nurse practitioner to continue treatment.

In need of a doctor? Don't know who to see? We have a network of physicians, appropriate for your condition, and can help expedite an appointment if necessary. Contact us to get started.

What should I wear to a PT appointment?

Please wear athletic clothes or something comfortable to move in. Also your preferred running or athletic shoes.

How many appointments will I need?

The answer here is “it depends.” Our first step is discussing YOUR goals with therapy, and together will come up with a treatment plan that allows you to achieve those goals.
